I think a large part of what has shaped me into preferring white women has to do with living over seas in Japan form age 10-14. While living in Japan, I had 1 TV channel on the Air Base we were stationed at..FEN (The Far East Network). I can remember always watching the old Baywatch and Soap Opera re runs and thinking how the US was filled with all these hot white women and that's the kind of girl I wanted to be with. I was living in an ocean of Asian women and all I wanted was what I coudln't have.
 
As soon as we moved to the US I was in heaven! All I wanted was white girls and since then I never looked back. Thankfully for me, coming from Japan, I didn't realize that white girls with Asian men were a rarity over here. It tended to be Asian women with white guys. Luckily I ever noticed and it never effected me so I didn't suffer from feeling intimidated by the whole situation which a lot of Asian men seem to suffer from.
Anyways, I am married to a crazy beautiful white woman now and we have a cute lil happa baby...so it all worked out!

most people don't really notice them until they get there or it's time to leave. but the parking lot is where things really happen. they are full of expectations and conclusions. you can see people huddled around in circles and playing loud music out of their windows. you can feel anticipation in the air.

late at nights or early in the mornings when they're not littered with cars, it feels so bare. at those times, between the streets and the buildings, when the lot is empty and wide and expansive and open, you feel like you can talk about anything at all.

i wonder how many words, kisses, fights, cigarettes, and confessions have been shared in a parking lot. i bet they meant a lot. i know mine did.

I've been attracted to Asian men (and a few women) all my life. It wasn't something that suddenly jumped out at me, but something I slowly noticed as I grew up. In junior high I had the cliche anime addiction, and looking up the authors was my first real look at the 'exotic.' Since then I slowly drifted towards Asian men, until it became an almost exclusive preference of mine. While my and most women on this site's choice of men has aged and matured like fine wine, it is apparent there seems to be a fad of "Asian trophy wives" erupting onto the scene in America.
 
The idea of an Asian trophy wife being a "bimbo" is largely unsupported. Wendi Deng, wife of Rupert Murdoch, has her MBA from Yale and is also the head of Myspace China. Hong Le Webb, wife of Jim Webb (Sen. Virginia), is a securities and corporate law attorney. Not only are these women physically attractive, but they're intelligent, too!
 
In stark contrast of the media's perspective of Asian women, Asian men are desexualized, even being depicted as near society's view of what women should be (see: The Hangover). They have always been something to pick fun at (Lord knows I've had my share of teasings for saying an Asian guy is cute). In this we must remember, most of our country is run by white men, from government to media. If there is one thing my history teacher taught me, it's that the white man is extremely terrified of everyone else. The problem is not that Asian men are unattractive, the problem is they're TOO attractive! They intimidate our white media men, who then try to shoot Asian men out of the game.
 
Fortunately for us, it seems Asian men have begun to break through the stereotype. Perhaps the media is becoming kinder, but more than likely women have finally begun to decide for themselves not only what to do with their lives, but who to love. And any woman on this site can tell you, Asians make the best lovers.

I've always been in to asian guys.  I'm open minded & accept people for who they are.
 
But the main thing that's turned me off of normal guys is that I've been treated very badly in the past.  I've always made sacrifices (which, lets face it, we shouldn't, coz if they loved us, they'd accept us for who we are), and it's come to the point where I just can't take it any more.
 
I try to fit in with the normal, stereotypical, socially acceptable, relationship ideal, but it's left me with emotional scars I have to carry for the rest of my days.
I'm a lady & I want to be treated as such.  I want to have a happy life & a fantastic relationship whilst also accepting my personal preference & not being afraid.
 
It's time for me (and others) to have respect for ourselves & choose what makes us happy.
And if others don't like it......so what.....IT'S A FREE WORLD!!! 
 
After all.....you can't help who you love.....you just do.

 I'd have to put my 3 cents on the forum since I posted something irrelevant.
Long story short, I have always been an equal opportunity dater, until one of my ex-gf, w/ Irish/English decent. I've dated WF before her, but somehow after her. ever since then, I started to have an extra crave for white women.

 Ive always had a "thing" for asian men (and women). something about them, its hard to resist. However unfortunately for me, there arent many asian men in my area so ive never actually been in a relationship with one. perhaps that explains why i didnt start dating until i was 19, i was holding out for a hot asian, but i had finally given up all hopes. I dont exclusively find asian men sexy however, theres sexy in most races imo- but asian men have always been my fantasy. 

I've always had a thing for guys of different cultures, but I've found I've dated mostly asians. It's just a strange attraction. :o

I dont know. I grew up in the ghetto (Philidelphia) and moved to Florida at age 13 and became pretty much white washed. I have no asian friends and still dont (because there are none where I lived). I chased nothing but white girls. Even when I was little, it was always a thing with me. Sure I had a one black, two spanish, and one asian ex girlfriend(s). But I mainly preferred white girls. And I didn't have any problems at all hooking up with them. Stereotypes didn't even phase me while I was growing up. So I never struggled with that issue to be honest. I think you guys are just way too sensitive about the whole thing. LoL.
